This is the project we point to when someone asks what one crew for everything actually means. Kitchen, living space, staircase and floors, all in six continuous weeks, because the framer, drywaller, tile setter and trim carpenter shared one schedule and, frequently, one lunch break.
Sequencing is the whole game
An open concept conversion touches structure, so the beam went in first with proper engineering. Then the dominoes fell in order: framing corrections, drywall, the kitchen with its quartz counters templated the same day cabinets landed, LVP flooring in one continuous run, and finally the staircase rebuilt in oak with white balusters while paint dried elsewhere. No trade waited on an outside company, which is how six weeks stayed six weeks.
The staircase deserves its own sentence. It was rebuilt in place, treads and railing, and it is the first thing every visitor touches. Spend where hands go.
Advice for whole floor projects
Combine everything you are considering into one estimate even if you plan to phase it. Setup, protection and mobilization cost the same whether we renovate one room or four, so the combined price is always better than the sum of separate projects.
