New Windows, Wrapped Right: Replacement and Capping in Ephrata

JOB CARD
The owners of this brick home had repainted their window trim three times in ten years, and the wood was still peeling on the south side. The windows themselves were single pane veterans that whistled in February. One project fixed both problems for good.
Windows are half the job. Capping is the other half.
We installed new double hung units, insulated the gaps with low expansion foam, and then bent color matched aluminum on our brake to wrap every piece of exterior trim. Capping seals the wood from weather permanently. This house will simply never need its window trim painted again, which over twenty years quietly pays for a chunk of the windows.
When choosing replacement units, look for the ENERGY STAR certification for our climate zone. The U factor matters more than the brand sticker, and a mid range certified window installed carefully beats a premium one installed casually.
The one thing to check before ordering
Open your existing frames and probe the sills. Rot means insert replacements will seal problems inside the wall, and full frame replacement is the honest path. We check this during the estimate and show you what we find. Details and 2026 pricing are on the window and door page.
